The University of Maryland put on a production of “A Very Potter Musical” today and it was hilarious and so well done!

The Voldemort, Ron and Draco were the best and most like the StarKid production. Ron was the most spot-on with the jokes and comedic timing. Draco rolled on the floor and was rightfully a girl. The actor that played Dumbledore was able to keep up the voice. Voldemort was hilarious and danced and had lots of white makeup on … but he also had his shirt on. Why, I don’t know. It should’ve been off. But, he was still very good.

Snape was also a girl, strangely enough. But it worked really well and added more humor, which I’m always a fan of. Comedies are my favorite.

The actor playing Harry was good and could sing really well, but you just can’t compete with Darren Criss, sorry. He had big shoes to fill and I’m sure he knew that. But he still played a pretty good Harry.

I also loved how the actors interacted with the pianist; that really made it funnier. The pianist was also really amazing (and good looking). He played the entire soundtrack himself.

The show overall, well, it was totally awesome and …

Yeah…. I was that piano player  :-)
